Area, Yield and Production Statistics from the Oficina Nacional de Estadistica e Informamacion de Cuba (ONEI) source in Cuba are now available for National and Province level locations.  Statistics are available from 1986 (national) to 2014.  Please look for the “ONEI” source in the Annual Crop Stats topic.

GDA has added precipitation data at L1, L2, and L3 levels from CHIRPS.  CHIRPS precipitation is a continuous raster dataset that has been subset by administrative unit geographic boundaries and also filtered to known croplands.  The precipitation anomaly and SPI data has been provided as well.  The Weather Topic has been modified to support this data with the addition of a data source dropdown.  New time periods have been added to support this including Dekad and 2-monthly and 3-monthly.

We’ve revised the text labels on the axis of charts from Annual Crop Stats and Sub-annual crop stats to include the specific variable names for extra clarity in determining which y-axis applies to which variable series.

The dashboard index page (which lists all dashboards and provides controls for them) has been drastically revised and improved to support new features.  You can now select multiple dashboards and copy, delete, share them as well as rename, set a default dashboard and change your dashboard order.  You can also preview your dashboards before loading them.  You can visit the dashboard index page by clicking the ‘manage dashboards’ link from your home page, or the home page icon from any dashboard page.  Additionally, under your user settings, you can opt to make your dashboard tab link directly to the dashboard index page (vs linking to your default dashboard).

You can now add tags to dashboards.  When you’re viewing a dashboard (or adding/editing one), you can add new tags to organize your dashboards.  There is a ‘add tag’ box in the dashboard toolbar where you can enter tags and separate them with a comma or return.  When viewing your list of dashboards on the dashboard index page, you can filter the list of dashboards by any tag.  Additionally, you can auto-sort your list of dashboards either by name or by date.  Also, under your account settings, you can now choose whether the Dashboard tab should link to the Dashboard Index page or take you to your default Dashboard.

New national statistics for international global cotton have been added from the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC).  Additionally, district-level historical statistics have been added for China under China NBS2 (aggregate of multiple provincial sources).

To ease the selection of Crops on the topics with large crop lists (Annual Crop Stats, Monthly Crop Stats, Seasonal Analysis), we have applied a tree grouping mechanism which groups all the crop types by common crop family.  If you wish to revert to the old method of presentation with all the crops side-by-side, click the “Options” button and uncheck the “Crop Grouping” button.

We have added a new topic that consolidates commodity pricing for major commodity contracts and options.  The topic comes in two forms – a basic one that provides easy access to standard OHLC charts and tables as well as an “Advanced” one that allows users to customize the data selection and utilize the pivot widget features with the data.

RSS feeds can now be shared with other user’s or groups.  Click to edit a feed and then click ‘Share with other users/groups’ to choose other particular users or groups to share with.

New reports have been added for Coceral, EU Commission Balance Sheets, and Copa-Cogeca forecasts.  They can be found in the Reports topic.
